Construction materials are more sustainable if it is from a renewable resource. Plant based natural fibres are low cost renewable materials which can be available in plenty in many countries. Recent studies have indicated that banana stem fibre possesses a lot of advantageous physical and chemical properties which leads its application in the construction industry.
